Travel Highlights

From Curiosity to Confidence

My passion for travel began in high school. While I always enjoyed watching documentaries and reading about famous landmarks as a child, it was during my teenage years that I truly longed to see them with my own eyes. At first, I relied on family and friends for trips, but after my first solo journey, I gained the confidence to embrace any travel challenge—because my why was stronger than the how. From backpacking and Couchsurfing to trains, planes, and ships, the mode of travel no longer mattered; the experience itself became the focus.

My most memorable trips involved visiting UNESCO World Heritage sites and carefully coordinated tours of protected areas. Below are some of my favorite adventures.

Muscat, Oman
March 2025

Muscat fulfilled my teenage travel dreams through Couchsurfing, hostel connections, and hours of conversation with locals.

Yerevan, Armenia
April 2024

Reaching Yerevan required overcoming Iran’s banking sanctions, passport restrictions, and currency devaluation – challenges most travelers never consider when crossing borders.

Fars, Iran
March 2024

Visiting all eight sites of the Sassanid Archaeological Landscape (UNESCO World Heritage) enhanced my understanding of Persia’s ancient empires and their legacy.

Hormozgan, Iran
February 2024

As volunteers with Iran’s Department of Environment, we conducted waterbird censuses in the protected Hara (Mangrove) forests—a rare opportunity to contribute to wetland conservation efforts.

Semnan, Iran
May 2023

With special permission from Iran’s Department of Environment, we observed multiple IUCN-listed species in Parvar Protected Area, including Persian brown bears, Caspian maral deer, and various shrikes.

Hormuz Island, Iran
March 2023

Hormuz Island’s crimson soils, dramatic cliffs, and sulfur caves create an otherworldly landscape – a Martian-like terrain on Earth that redefines natural beauty.
